Urban as Dredd?

Hey Fools! Kind of infuriating that the boys here at the Fool had just gotten together to try and figure out who would best provide the chin and snark of Judge Dredd for the proposed re-adaptation, and we're already too late!
Folks at Bleeding Cool are saying they've got it on authority that LOTR's Eomer -or more importantly Trek's Bones- has been offerred the part by DNA Films. Report says the new film, which had a script leak earlier this week, will stay in tone with the source comic in having Dredd keep his helmet throughout the whole film, making Urban's possible turn reminiscent of Hugo Weaving being masked all through V for Vendetta.
Not much else could be found elsewhere regarding that possibility, but then again we ARE at Comic Con's doorstep so any official chatter will come during that event, while the film itself is being touted as a Summer 2012 release.
