Mission Impossible IV update
Two actors already locked

Hey Fools! Does anybody out there stiull care about the Mission Impossible Franchise? Granted I loved the third and thought it was a giant step up from the previous, but... Ok, let me rephrase that: Does anybody still care about M:I with Tom Cruise? Knight & Day's dismal revenues illuminates the "No" Column...

Be that as it may, Paramount is deep in planning Mission: Impossible IV and director Brad Bird (genius choice I gotta say) is starting to "read" some actor for it this week, according to THR. Last week Tom Cruise got the studio's vote of confidence to return as Ethan Hunt even though Knight was tanking bad, and this week one of the more fun characters in that franchise is quasi confirmed back.

Report says that Simon Pegg is in final talks to reprise his cameo of lab tech Benji Dunn, making it his third collaboration with J.J. Abrams who's on board this one as producer. Pegg is expected to confirm the casting will out in Comic Con next weekend to promote his upcoming alien comedy Paul.

No word yet on any of the previous players returning to the field, but it'd be a lousy move to leave Ving Rhames out -he's as much a franchise staple as Cruise- an Maggie Q wasn't hurtful to look at last time around...
