Sex and the City 2 review
What does my wife think?

Hi all Presterjohn here. I am meant to be a reviewer, Someone who can go into a film and watch it objectively whatever the premise. But when it comes to this franchise I have to be a man first and just say” that’s a chick flick, I’ll let the wife go”. So the wife has gone and this is her review.

When my husband asked me to write a review for Sex and the City 2. I was nervous and excited. I love his website and wanted to do him proud. I am a big Sex and the City fan, I usually pull out the box set once a year and run through the seasons and obviously finish with the first movie which I loved.

I had organised a night for my friends and I to see the movie. We had picked a restaurant, picked our outfits and brought our movie tickets. We were all excited, especially me.

The opening scene is first-class, it has great music and shows amazing views of New York City which start to bring all the memories back from previous seasons. Then you see Carrie in that gorgeous white dress and she explains how she arrived in New York and became friends with Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha, this was a great start.

The movie touches on each of the girls and issues they are having with their families and relationships. Carrie is struggling to understand her relationship with Big, Miranda isn’t enjoying work, Charlotte is finding it hard being a mum and Samantha is going through menopause. To have a break from it all Samantha scores the girls an all expenses trip to Abu Dhabi and they are off. (It always amazes me how they can just leave their family and children to run off for a week’s holiday at short notice).

I thought I was in for another great movie that would wrap up this amazing series….however I was wrong. From here the movie really didn’t have much of a story line. It didn’t really have that touch of Carrie talking through the movie like she does in the previous one.

Look I really don’t want to give too much away. I found the movie very funny in some parts however I feel they could have made it more realistic like the first one, and ended Sex and the City on a high note. I think all Sex and the City fans should still see the movie however it will not be a part of my collection.

One of the funniest parts is the new addition to the York family; you will know what I mean when you see it.
