Note - Next week we'll be looking at the next Batman villain(s); which one should it be and who should play them. Wanna join the fun? Send us your choices!
Hey Fools! We've been having too much fun lately with these little discussions among staffers as to whom should play what, and you guys seem to like it as well, so here we are again for what has become a weekly rendez-vous of casting rants and raves!
This week we're looking at helping DC who recently re-instated their intention to make The Flash into a feature film. Good news is they know how NOT to do it - remember that crappy late-80s live-action show? So do they...
Longtime comics writer Geoff Johns, recently appointed CEO of a re-hauled DC which was made into a closer unit of parent Warner, said he'd be keeping a close eye on the film development and that it'd be based on his own work from the late 80s. That means the studio is going with the Barry Allen version, but we still tried to come up with ideas that would fit both Allen and the more recent Wally West incarnation.
Presterjohn's Choices:
If it is Barry Allen than he can be older and to this I say Bradley Cooper
If the Flash is Wally west we can go younger and add in Anton Yelchin
or Liam Hemsworth
I can throw in Jake G again and then James Franco.
BigGeoff's Choice:
Ryan Kwanten is my only choice. BOOM! Next Aussie to play a superhero.
Fleetwood's Choices:
John Cho's voice and cool demeanour make him prime for a superhero who needs brains not too much muscle; dude paid his due, he's ready to graduate to blockbuster star.
Same goes for Jeffrey Donovan; can't imagine something more geekgasmic than Burn Notice's Michael Westen with super speed!
Although many consider James T. Kirk to be a superhero (power to take of his shirt at will...), Chris Pine deserves to play an actual one, and few would fit him so perfectly.
